Baby Building

The baby building comprises of two bright spacious playrooms offering plenty of space for babies to play, explore, discover and learn. The bright warm playroom catering for our very youngest babies from 6 weeks to 1 year provides a secure and stimulating environment supporting sensory development, while our second baby room provides opportunities for more active play for our 1 to 2 year olds. Both playrooms are furnished with natural resources and soft furnishing to create a warm, homely environment to support our babies at the earliest stages of their development.

 

We have modern kitchen facilities where fresh food is prepared daily in accordance with the children’s individual needs and dietary requirements. Formula feeds are prepared individually as required.

Our caring and experienced staff follow the National Curriculum (Birth to Three, Scottish Executive 2005) ensuring all aspects of your baby’s development are catered for through purposeful play opportunities and individual care routines.

Our babies enjoy regular access to fresh air and exercise, both in their own enclosed all weather garden, and frequent walks through the adjoining Jennyswell Nature Reserve.



2-5 Building


Our large and busy purpose-built 2-5 building comprises of 2 playrooms – Toddler Room and 3-5 Room. Each playroom is brightly decorated with a variety of natural resources, soft furnishing and age appropriate equipment to allow children to become confident and independent learners.

We have modern kitchen facilities where fresh food is prepared daily in accordance with the children’s individual needs and dietary requirements.

Toddler Room


The toddler room is an active, fun packed room which encourages children to develop independence and social skills focusing on relationships, respect and responsive care. Staff offer age appropriate experiences using the national curriculum of Birth to Three. Our dedicated staff working in partnership with parents provide play opportunities which cater to each individual child and their developmental requirements.

3-5 Room


Our exciting and adventurous 3-5 room follow the national Curriculum for Excellence encouraging all children to become successful learners, responsible citizens, confident individuals and effective contributors. Our enthusiastic staff encourage children to develop independence throughout all areas of the playroom and the nursery routine. All activities and experiences are planned, linking to the curriculum and relating to children’s individual age and stage of development. Our 3-5’s are proud of their involvement with programmes such as; Eco Schools, Eat Well 2 Play Well, Have a Heart Paisley and Jennyswell’s Home Lending Programme.

 

Opening hours, Mon - Fri 7am 6 pm  Year round care.

Age range:  0 to 5 years.



Jennyswell Nursery is registered with Care Commission Scotland and works in partnership
with Renfrewshire Council providing funded places for 3 - 5 year olds. 

We also provide Out of School Care/ holiday playschemes at Lochfield and Todholm Primary Schools.
